Job Description

Job Title:  Supplier Quality Associate

Pay:  $21.00 - $23.00

Job Overview:  Responsible for the internal support of vendors, in accordance with product risk profile. Support includes but is not limited to: 
  • Supplier notification of changes, supplier re-evaluations, supplier re-evaluation schedule management, supplier rating and process metrics, gap analysis management, supplier score carding and process metrics, supplier corrective action management, protocol support, and the facilitation and implementation of process improvement projects. Provide direct support to Quality Management/Quality Assurance personnel regarding operation of the department and Quality System.  
  • Support Supplier Quality team in the day to day interface with suppliers that manufacture for and supply products to Merz North America (including: Biologics, Rx, OTC, Medical Devices (510K, PMA), Cosmetics and Nutritional Supplements). 
  • Support and drive management of the supplier quality process, including but not limited to: maintaining the supplier audit schedule, managing the supplier and re-evaluation schedule, monitoring the SCAR database, compiling metrics/ratings, etc.
  • Support the operation of the Quality System process related to Corrective/Preventive actions and product non-conformance control including; capturing data associated with product deviations, product non-conformances, CAPAs, scrap and rework, and analyzing the data for the reasons of Quality Improvement and reporting.
  • Coordinate, drive, and execute Quality improvement process.
Requirements:
  • BS in a Physical Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience required.
  • Previous QA or Supply Chain experience a plus (one year).
  • ASQ Certification and familiarity with ISO 13485 Quality System Standards, FDA Quality Systems, GMPs, or other medical device regulations a plus.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills including ability to prioritize tasks and adhere to agreed timelines
  • Strong technical and general problem-solving skills required. 
  • Ability to work with company staff and communicate effectively throughout the organization
  • Ability to host, facilitate and execute audits with internal and external audiences
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail
  • Experience with statistical analysis of data.
