Job Description

Job Title:  Laboratory Technician III

Pay:  $20.00 - $24.00/hour

Shift:  8:00am - 5:00pm, (Flexible Hours), Monday - Friday

Job Overview:
•Cleans, sanitizes and/or disinfects laboratory glassware, environmental chambers and water baths.
•Maintains inventory of laboratory supplies and samples.  Receives supplies and stock shelves or delivers supplies as necessary.
•Maintains laboratory in compliance with safety, GMP, and GLP standards.
•Accurately documents activities in accordance with GMP requirements.
•Follows standard operating procedure while performing duties and maintains accurate records of all physical and analytical testing.
•Prepares and catalogs HPLC, reagents, ACS and Test Solutions
•Collects in-process and finished product samples from production department daily.
•Receipt/verification and logging samples using SAP and LIMS.
•Verifies semi-finished product sample counts and receipts in QC Chemistry prior to use.
•Ensures proper storage of samples/materials and maintain chambers/warehouse.
•Receives and verifies QA issued documentation for QC Chemistry prior to use.
•Ships samples requiring outside laboratory testing.
•Performs scheduled inspections and any additional inspections required for product complaints and deviations.
•Performs data entry of results.
•Proofreads and verifies accuracy of printed labeling material.
•Performs destruction of expired samples/materials.
•Keeps accurate inventory of samples using computerized systems (example LIMS).
•Performs routine testing of medical air/utilities, components, labeling, and miscellaneous items by visual/dimensional AQL assessment, using manual and/or automated methods.
•Qualifies as a visual inspector, subject to ongoing qualification testing/training.
•Performs daily calibration on IQC inspection lamps and calibers.
•Maintains the Annual Vendor Qualifications.
•Responsible for collecting all the testing data for Inter-location Transfers (ILT).

Requirements:

  • Previous lab experience working in the food, pharmaceutical, medical device, or similar regulated industry.
  • Experience with cleaning and sanitizing glassware and other lab instruments.
  • Strong documentation skills.

  • Previous experience working in a lab, specifically with glassware.

  • Experience with Word and Excel.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, or Associate's Degree.
