Job Description

Job Title: Quality Inspector 
Contract to Hire 
Location: Round Lake, IL
Pay: $17.50/hour 
Shift: Day shift (6:00am - 6:00pm) 

Job Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible for quality support and oversight of manufacturing operations: presence on the floor
  • Perform Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) sampling of finished product
  • Product nonconformance resolution, sample management, live documentation review on the shop floor, and other quality department functions.
  • 40%: AQL sampling of finished product
  • 30% Quality support and oversight of manufacturing operations, presence on floor
  • 20%: Quality live review of documentation
  • 10%: Sample management (retention samples, in-process testing, stability samples, etc.)
  • Must be able to deal with ambiguity and make decisions under stressful conditions. Ability to understand complex problems and anticipate consequences of actions/decisions made.
  • Must be able to work in controlled/classified environments requiring special gowning.
  • Required to follow gowning requirements and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body.
  • Deals with plasma finished products; transfer of intermediates and products between sites/countries.
Job Requirements: 
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Forklift certification and experience preferred.
  • Sitting, standing, walking and lifting up to 35 lbs. Pushing, pulling and stretching may be required occasionally.
  • 20/20 vision with or without corrective lenses.
  • Demonstrate Leadership Behaviors; be positive, accountable, and be an excellent manager of self and others.
  • Must be able to work 12 hours shifts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability work in a team environment and make independent decisions based on procedural and regulatory requirements.
  • Adaptive communication and presentation skills to effectively reach different levels, including senior management.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio)
