Job Title:  Processing Compounding Technician

Pay:  $19.00 - $23.00/hour

Job Overview:  Responsible for the compounding and manufacturing of clinical pharmaceutical products in accordance to cGMP and SOPs. May help in validating processes and equipment that are directly related to cleaning and sterilization, compounding and filtration of pharmaceutical products.  Maintains records and clean room environment to comply with regulatory requirements, good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures. 
  • Manufactures batches including material preparation, compounding, and transfer to filling.
  • Weighs excipients/ API, measures and checks raw materials to ensure batches manufactured contain proper ingredients and quantities.
  • Compounds solutions/ suspensions
  • Filters solutions
  • Prepares compounding consumables
  • Responsible for assigned equipment
  • Assists with placing orders and booking of materials in SAP
  • Conducts inventory management e.g. consumables, apparel
  • Samples according to sampling plan
  • Assists process development in developing scalable processes with improved product yield and reduced costs for manufacturing systems
  • May research and implement new methods and technologies to enhance operations
  • May assist with in-process testing to ensure batches meet specifications
  • Conducts the implementation of compounding procedures to optimize manufacturing processes and regulatory requirements
  • Cleans/Disinfects/Sanitizes manufacturing rooms
  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related or technical field or previous work experience in the (GMP/GLP) pharmaceutical or related industry 
  • Previous experience working with chemicals, in a role such as a Chemical Operator or Process Technician 
  • Must be able to wear respirator equipment
  • Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, climb stairs/ladders, kneel, crouch, wear safety gear and/or cleanroom gowning. Must regularly lift, push, pull and/or move up to 50 pounds
