Job Description

Job Title:  Chemistry Analyst

Pay:  $24.00 - $26.00/hour

Job Overview:  Conducts chemistry testing and equipment qualification in a timely and effective manner in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), regulations, and cGMPs.  Conducts chemistry testing documentation and assessment of the results against specifications.  Assist in customer projects for the Chemistry Laboratory.
• Responsible for review of documentation and release of incoming materials such as API, excipients and processing auxiliaries.
• Assures project milestones for the Chemistry Laboratory are being met in a timely manner (laboratory qualifications, etc.).
• Establishes, reviews and approves documentation (SOPs, etc.).
• Conducts, documents, and assesses analytical testing of raw materials, utilities and in-process, release, and stability testing of finished products in accordance with standard operating procedures and cGMPs/GLPs.
• Collects samples of raw materials and utilities.
• Responsible for training colleagues on mastered techniques in the Chemistry Laboratory.
• Responsible for maintaining the Chemistry Laboratory in a GMP state.
• Responsible for collaborating with vendors for the external qualification and maintenance of the chemical analysis instrumentation.  Conducts internal qualification and maintenance of the chemical analysis instrumentation
• Responsible for review and verification of analytical testing
• Responsible for completion of Laboratory Investigations.
• Ensures that all tasks are conducted in compliance with all safety, environmental protection and cGMP regulations
• Perform additional tasks as requested by management.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific subject.
  • Understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Previous experience, even academic, in working in a chemistry lab.
  • Knowledge of MS Office.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
